Breaking the stigma around suicide
More often than not, individuals experiencing suicide ideation don’t want to end their lives. As shown in our stories from this year’s Silent No More: Giving Voice to Mental Health, many feel trapped in an overwhelming situation and are stumped on how to make it better, leading to contemplating the inevitable.
Suicide is preventable, but no one can prevent this alone. So, how can we take action to reach out?
Our virtual community event this November invites our story profiles from Living with Suicide, Mahita and Shafiqah, along with Narasimman from Impart and Nyana from We Hear You to talk about suicide. Join us as they discuss their experiences and ways we can encourage conversations to break the stigma around suicide.
